形態特徵

• Shrub, up to 2–3 m high. Branchlets glabrous, spirally arranged, crowded towards the upper part of the branchlets.
• Leaves thick, linear, sometimes oblanceolate, 4–7 cm long, 3–4 mm broad, acuminate-caudate at apex, attenuate at base, the lateral veins obscure, the midrib impressed above, elevated beneath, glabrous on both surfaces; petioles very short.
• Inflorescences capitate, terminal and axillary, sessile, surrounded by caduous bracts, the bracts linear-lanceolate, glabrous; floral tube urceolate-tubular, 3–4 mm long, whitish, the outer two longer, ovoid, obtuse at apex, about 1.5 mm long; stamens 8 in two rows, sessile, the anthers linear; disk annular; ovary ovoid, sessile, glabrous, 1-celled with 1 ovule.
